Several machining methods commonly used in CNC Machining centers: tap machining method, thread milling method and pick and pick method.

CNC machining spare parts

First, tap CNC machining method:

Tap processing using tap processing threaded holes is the most commonly used processing method, it is mainly suitable for small diameter (D<30), hole position accuracy requirements are not high.

In the 80s of the 20th century, the threaded holes adopted the flexible tapping method, that is, the flexible tapping chuck was used to clamp the tap, and the tapping chuck could do axial compensation, compensate for the feed error caused by the asynchronous feed of the machine tool and the spindle speed, and ensure the correct pitch. The flexible tapping chuck has a complex structure, high cost, easy damage, and low processing efficiency. In recent years, the performance of CNC machining centers has gradually improved, and the rigid tapping function has become the basic configuration of CNC machining centers.

Therefore, rigid tapping has become the main method of threading at present. That is, the tap is clamped with a rigid spring chuck, and the spindle feed and spindle speed are controlled by the machine tool.

Compared with the flexible tapping chuck, the spring chuck has a simple structure, cheap price, a wide range of uses, in addition to clamping taps, it can also clamp end mills, drills and other tools, which can reduce tool costs. At the same time, the use of rigid tapping can carry out high-speed cutting, improve the efficiency of machining center, and reduce manufacturing costs.

Programming for tap processing is relatively simple. Now machining centers are generally solidified with tapping subroutines, and only the individual parameters need to be assigned. However, it should be noted that the numerical control system is different, the subprogram format is different, and the meaning of some parameters is different.

For example, the SIEMEN840C control system is programmed in G84 X_Y_R2_ R3_R4_R5_R6_R7_R8_R9_R10_R13_. Only these 12 parameters need to be assigned to the program.

Two. CNC machining for thread milling:

Thread milling is the use of thread milling tools, machining center three-axis linkage, that is, X and Y axis arc interpolation, Z axis linear feed milling method to process threads.

Thread milling is mainly used for the machining of large hole threads and threaded holes of difficult-to-machine materials. It mainly has the following features:

(1) Fast processing speed, high efficiency and high processing accuracy. The tool material is generally cemented carbide material, and the tool passing speed is fast. The manufacturing accuracy of the tool is high, so the thread accuracy of milling is high.

(2) Milling tools have a large range of application. As long as the pitch is the same, whether it is a left-handed thread or a right-handed thread, a tool can be used, which is conducive to reducing the cost of the tool.

(3) Milling processing is easy to discharge, cooling, relative to tap for cutting situation is better, especially suitable for aluminum, copper, stainless steel and other difficult to process materials threading, especially suitable for large parts and precious materials of parts and components of threading, can ensure the quality of thread processing and the safety of workpieces.

(4) Because there is no tool front end guidance, it is suitable for machining blind holes with short thread bottom holes and holes without retract grooves.

Third, pick and buckle CNC machining method:

Large threaded holes can sometimes be encountered on box parts, and in the absence of taps and thread milling cutters, a lathe-like method can be used. Thread turning tools are installed on the boring shank to boring threads. Precautions for the pick-and-button method

(1) After the spindle is started, there should be a delay time to ensure that the spindle reaches the rated speed.

(2) When retracting, if it is a hand-ground threaded tool, because the tool cannot sharpen symmetrically, it cannot be reversed to retract, and the spindle must be oriented, the tool moves radially, and then retracts.

(3) The manufacture of the tool holder must be precise, especially the position of the tool groove must be consistent. If inconsistent, multi-tool holder machining cannot be used. Otherwise, it will cause random buckling.

(4) Even if it is a very fine buckle, it cannot be picked with one knife when picking the buckle, otherwise it will cause tooth loss, poor surface roughness, and should be divided into at least two knives.

(5) Low processing efficiency, only suitable for single small batches, special pitch threads and no corresponding tools.
